The Cherp Co-Op

See Schedule Below

The purpose of the CHERP Co-op is to nurture students’ intellectual, social, and spiritual growth by providing a group learning experience in both major and elective courses through the partnership of CHERP parents.

Together we will Learn about the world we live in, Grow in our understanding of our place in the world as followers of Christ, and Become educated and equipped witnesses who will contribute to the common good.

The CHERP Cooperative operates on a semester system meeting September through May taking the typical holiday breaks. We offer science and writing regularly for all grades and have daycare for participating families. This is not a drop off cooperative. Families with students enrolled in classes will also contribute as teachers or helpers. Many of the classes we offer depend upon the availability and willingness of parents and will therefore change from one semester to another. You can sign up for our email list if you would like to receive the upcoming schedule. Send you request or questions to
coop@cherpgroup.org.

We meet at Faith Community Church in Rohnert Park every Friday from 9:00 am - 2:00pm. Visitors are welcome. The church is located at 7352 Boris Ct. off of Southwest Blvd. You can visit the church website for a map at www.FaithCommunityRP.org.

CHERP and the CHERP Co-op are an ecumenical effort. Our families come from diverse denominational backgrounds and religious traditions. As the family of God we acknowledge those differences and stand on the common ground of love for God, faith in Christ, and salvation by grace alone. We believe in one God revealed through the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and stand on the infallible truth of God’s word, the Bible. Our hope is in the atoning death of Christ Jesus on the cross and in his bodily resurrection from the dead. Together, we look forward to his return and strive to follow him as disciples and ambassadors of his Gospel until that time.

Cherp Co-Op Statement of Faith

We believe in one God, the Father, Almighty maker of heaven and earth; and in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten, not made, of one being with the Father. Through him all things were made and in him all things hold together. For us and for our salvation He came from heaven and by the power of the Holy Spirit He became incarnate through the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, buried, and on the third day rose from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. We believe this same Jesus will come again to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son, He is worshipped and glorified. We believe in one holy, universal, and apostolic church and acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sin. We believe in the resurrection of the dead and eternal life in the presence of our God. (Based on the Nicene Creed of the Second Ecumenical Council, Constantinople, 381 AD)
